MORE ABOUT SHAKE-ITs

SHAKE-ITs will reliably operate as you manually cycle your weapon.  They can be used in training sessions to practice proper weapons handling, loading and unloading, dry fire and live fire.  SHAKE-ITS can also be  used to to simulate failure to cycle/failure to fire malfunctions.

I have taken a couple of additional steps to improve the durability and safety of my SHAKE-IT rounds.  SHAKE-ITs are heavily crimped so they can withstand repeated action cycles to which a live round would not normally be subjected. Also, the overall length of a SHAKE-IT round has been shortened to slightly less than published lengths for cartridges using similar weight bullets and simulated powder charge so the round will be easier to extract, as it still has the bullet attached to the casing, while fired rounds only have to extract the brass casing.

SHAKE-ITs have additional safety features not included in mass produced training rounds.  Shake one of my training rounds and you will hear and feel the round rattle.  Inside each Shake-it are steel bbs that simulate the weight of the powder charge.  This gives each round the look and weight of a live round, and offers additional ways to determine the round is not live. 

Lastly, YOU CAN PICK UP SHAKE-ITs WITH A MAGNET!!!  While SHAKE-ITs are made using brass or nickel coated brass casings...never steel...they can be picked up with the strong magnets often used on a range to pick up steel casings.

ABOUT ME

I am a U.S. Army Vietnam Era veteran who has been reloading for over 30 years.  I started hand building my SHAKE-IT Premium Training Rounds in early 2021.  A professional firearms training instructor at my local range asked me if I could make a better 380 ACP training round than he was using at that time, as many of his students were first time gun buyers who thought a small pistol would be easier to shoot than a large pistol or revolver.   I said "sure, how hard can it be to build a training round?"  Live round, training round, building them should be all the same.  I had no idea at the time how much I had to learn so I could actually build high quality training rounds.

Fast forward to today. Now I build training rounds in 24 different calibers and 68 variations of those calibers.  I also build tire valve stem caps in three calibers.  I sell my SHAKE-ITs at three local gun shops and have sold several hundred sets on eBay for nine month in 2021 and early 2022.  But between the eBay fees, shipping costs (over 35% of the selling price), and less that friendly ammo related selling rules, I decided I would give GoDaddy a try.  You can check my over 200 positive feedbacks in the past year on eBay under my eBay profile page https://www.ebay.com/usr/bcottun
